about alex:
At seventeen years young, Alex Prochaska died suddenly in a mowing accident. He was a clever young man who had dreams and plans just like other boys his age. Alex had a lot of different interests. It’s hard to pick one thing and say it is the “most significant”.
As the family who shaped him into who he was and the family who was left behind, we feel compelled to continue his legacy. What good would Alex have done, if he had only had more time? That is the Alex Prochaska Memorial Project. This is a project that we hope will encourage us all to slow down and do the good that God puts in front of us. Donations will be used to continue the work God began through Alex by meeting the needs of gifted young people pursuing Christian or post-secondary trade education. |
Purpose
To honor the memory of Alex Prochaska by sharing the love of Jesus Christ, walking alongside others who have suffered similar losses, and serving others through financial support of Christian and Trade education.
Vision
The Alex Prochaska Memorial Project envisions raising funds to support ever-growing and self-sustaining scholarships, both for children to attend Isaac Newton Christian Academy and for older individuals to attend Kirkwood Community College in pursuit of a trade degree. Through these efforts, we envision individuals who grow up knowing Christ’s saving love and mercy while developing and using their gifts for God’s glory. These individuals will then also support the furthering spread of God’s word and the resources to help others.
